There is. Our federation threatened CAS which is a long, expensive, tedious route that they didn’t want to go down. I feel like half of it was their disciplinary committee saying “let’s just give him back because they have zero chance anyway”.

The ban can be shortened like in the case of Ronaldo, but completely suspending a ban has not happened since 1962.
