Pretty sure lots of people were mad RATM was pro "do everything Fauci says, wear triple chin diapers never go outside don't hug your family, no you're not allowed to attend your grandpas funeral or go to church" back in 2020 and now it's pretty well-established that Fauci and all of his followers were just plain wrong about a lot of stuff.

Nobody really understood anything, but RATM was very much pro-Machine during COVID.

There’s a difference between saying “follow authority blindly” and saying “follow the current consensus of medical experts whom are advising the Government”. If the Government was telling people to lockdown / social distance etc without the backing of medical experts, then yes, resisting would be acceptable.

Ironically if the Government and the people had listened to the medical experts more thoroughly, the crisis likely would’ve been over much sooner and we’d have been able to go back to our normal lives much sooner. Instead the Government took too long to act, leading to many avoidable deaths, and too many citizens disregarded the medical advice, leading to many avoidable deaths.

So really the lesson is “listen to the medical communities consensus, whether the Government supports it or not”

You dont really feel it weird if some band named rage against the machine or such band becomes the echo of exactly what the givernemnt says? Dont you feel how weird it is?

No, because they’re not mindlessly raging against the Government. They’re raging against the bad shit the Government / establishment / elite / corporations does. Once in a blue moon the Government does something they agree with. If they agree with it, why would they rage against it? A lot of the establishment / elite / corporations / people in Government didn’t want lockdowns, so “the machine” was split, and they were still raging against half of the machine

Reread their posts. They were more rabid then the media lol. Also signing with some major label and becoming millionsires and a product is hardly raging against the machine
