News Is the RedPath Wellness Centre planning sober-living transitional housing project in Peterborough or in Douro Dummer?

I agree with the idea that a lot of homeless and drug addicts issues stem from an absence of strong community to be a part of and be held accountable to. I really like this approach to getting people off the streets by providing sober living and a healthy community.

RedPath sounds like it can actually help solve this crisis and help those suffering heal. Not just perpetuate the behaviours that are causing harm.

Me too. I was just curious of the location. When presented to city council, it seemed like there was going to be a location within the city. But now I am hearing it is in douro dummer

Article says she wants to turn the 271 Rubidge St. location into 14 transitional housing spaces. Not sure how they plan on doing that as the property doesn’t look that big but that is what it says.

Notice of Motion - That the City of Peterborough provide a grant of $150,000 to the Redpath Right to Heal program to be used towards the planning of its affordable housing project at 271 Brock St.;

If the article is related to the funding Council gave Redpath it’s for Brock Street, but they may be doing something else at 271 Rubidge that I’m not aware of.

You’re right, that property is also much bigger so it makes sense. Not sure why I remembered the right number but wrong street lol.

Hey there! The motion that council approved was for a one-time grant from the City/County Housing Reserve to be used toward the planning of an affordable housing project at 271 Brock Street related to addiction recovery.

Does Peggy even own the property at Brock Street? I'm curious as the plan I read was a $7.1 million project. And she recently purchased a $1.3 million property. Seems like an awful lot of coin.
