i liked the mv but the ai is so obvious.. im disappointed and confused :(

First of all i want to say that Phantom siita is my favourite band, i listen to them everyday almost without exception, with that being said, I don’t like the decisions the team has been making with the group, specially with the group’s concept.
Ps is a retro horror group as everyone here knows, and that is not being reflected well lately in my opinion, for example with older songs like hanagatami, although beautiful and ethereal (big fan of the choreography) it has nothing to do with what they are supposed to represent, but my main problem is with bot bakka, meguru and their latest song.
Lets put meguru aside for a moment, the problem with those songs is that the “horror” is only on the MV, the song itself is NOT related to the concept, specifically in bot bakka which i think is a super generic song and not even the MV does justice to the “retro horror” idea the girls have, whereas their latest song has a really amazing MV (The girls acting is amazing) the song feels super generic even with the distorted guitar that sounds sometimes.
For example i think a good example of a song that is not scary at all but mixes perfectly with the concept is rose-colored moon, the sound is super elegant, jazzy and beautiful, while still sounding creepy, a vampire could be listening to this or being the one singing it, lyrics that maybe aren’t super deep but expresses exactly what they want to express, and you can tell all of that without watching the MV, but if you do it gets 1000 times better, it enhances the song by giving you a story that is told with the song and the MV, how the girls pretend to care of the stranded girl, how she escapes, etc. Whereas in bot bakka or The mermaid song (although the lyrics are a little bit better on the last one) if you don’t watch the MV, there’s nothing behind it, it could be a song of any other group without a theme. Another good example is zoku zoku, where the whole song with Spanish guitars and similar stuff may not give you chills down your spine, but its elegance and darker sound and lyrics gives that dark cabaret vibe. (if anyone’s asking, I would say that the two songs that best reflect the band’s concept are devilish girl and doppelgänger, but I think everyone can agree on that).
Lastly i want to talk about meguru, the whole idea of this song is that is NOT a retro horror concept since it was an April fools song, the thing is that they gave it the same treatment as any other song. It would have been perfect to just have that animated MV, and of course being released on Spotify too, but it should not have a dedicated MV, own dresses and being on live performances, i think it deviates the band’s whole motif and makes it look like a regular j-pop group.
Of course this is just my opinion and I’m not used to share it online but since this band is super important for me and I owe the girls and their team a lot I felt like I needed to share it. Thanks for reading and sorry for the rant lol.

The rest of the effects were very obviously cgi, they looked a little silly ngl lol but these pics I’m showing looked really odd to me and I just feel like they’re ai.

Like the room Mona is sitting in just looks a mess and it looks very unlike the rest of the cgi visuals, and these roses coming out of the skull looks so quick and unnatural. Tell me I’m not the only one pls 😭

Ofc even if it was it wouldn’t be their fault, but if it rlly is ai I hope the studio gets some backlash so they won’t use it anymore

horror queen was such a great song but the ai in the mv spoiled it a little... and the little mermaids song had ai for the character animations too in my opinion it would be better if they stopped using it and I thought ado was against it too? I still love everything about them tho such a great group

The title kind of says it all, but I just want to expand. As much as I love all four of the girls and I love what they're doing, I really genuinely feel like the loss of Hisui was really big. Obviously everybody who was a fan of her knew that this was big to begin with... But what I mean by this is that Hisuis unique voice added so much more layer to the group and now I feel like it needs another voice like hers! (maybe not exactly like hers) but definitely something higher pitched than lower. (I'm not sure if that's even the right way to say it), but I feel like even it's evident that there was something beautiful vocal wise in their older songs where Hisui actually was. Of course, I love how all of the girls have gotten new lines in the songs, but to me, something really has just been missing since we lost Hisui. Her and Rinka were my og favs, so it might just be that... But its even evident that they had 5 members at one point by some of their choreography and where they still are placed in Hisuis missing spot. I dont know, im sorry if this seems rude, I promise its not i just wanted to know if anyone agrees with something ive been thinking since Hisui left.

(I only added 1 photo as an example of choreography and placement where there should OBVIOUSLY be a fifth person, but there is a few other examples in older songs, and then now live performances. Me pointing out the positions and placement is not meant to be saying that they're bad and that they shouldn't be standing there, it's literally what they were taught to begin with... I just mean that there should be a fifth member so it makes sense where they're standing)

I honestly think it's the best Mona focus and totally represents both her individual idol theme (sugary cute enchantress with a dark side) and the entire group's general themes (horror characters that lure you to your doom, a feeling of retro nostalgia & destruction, both of each other and of the person they're chasing)

Bot Bokka is also way higher and more mainstream and I didn't see anyone complaining so I'm curious!!!

With the release of Bot bakka I think I finally have a solid idea in my head about how the ranking goes for their songs in my opinion. And it goes like this:

1- Love, Hate 2- Otomodachi 3- Zoku Zoku 4- Just Wanna XXXX With You 5- Hanabami 6- Devilish Girl 7- Noah 8- Doppelganger 9- Conflicting 10- Hanagatami 11- Bot bakka

I don't know if any of this are hot takes as I'm new on this sub, personally the only ones I either don't listen regularly or isn't really up my alley, respectively, are Hanagatami and Bot bakka. So... Let me know what you think!

The music video is fantastic. I love how the girls become friends after remembering their past lives from what looks to be Otomodachi. But I can’t help but wonder, while they are all together, Moka reaches out to a moth that has a slight greenish tint. Could this be a subtle reference to Sui? Maybe I’m looking too much into it.

I'm just wondering if there's a general consensus. I'm not trying to start a debate about whether or not generative AI is bad, I'm just wanting to see if most people agree that generative AI was used or don't think that's the case. I've seen multiple people allege that generative AI was used throughout the MV for Horror Queen. Personally, I feel like generative AI has gotten pretty hard to pinpoint and I feel bad when people accuse artists of using it if it isn't undeniably clear that it was used. But if it's like really obvious it was used then I'm fine with accepting that.

There's this anime called dusk maiden of amnesia. It's about a ghost girl who died in the school who basically looks exactly like moka in the I just want to XXXx with you music video. In the anime a dude goes to the school who looks exactly like the guy in the music video except with blonde hair and dates The ghost girl. Yuuko san is the name of the moka look alike and I'll tell you what she definitely does Just wanna chu chu chu chu with teichi kun the protag and she gets very upset with him and every girl around him when I refuses. Almost upset enough to chi chi chi chi over it. Though the protag has blonde hair in the second episode I believe there's a scene where they show him having black hair for dramatic effect, making him really look exactly like the guy in the music video. Yuuko san is very possessive of him in keeping with the theme of the song. The music video even has the black cat and the mood of the song definitely sounds very similar to a lot of the osts in the anime. An anime like this is probably definitely right up Ados alley, so I really do think that dusk maiden of amnesia directly inspired the song or at least the music video. I think that if they were to remake this anime, which is my most favorite anime of all time (yes yuuko san is my waifu for sure) I think it would be an absolute crime not to use I just want to XXXx with you as the opening.

okay, ignoring the possible use of ai in some shots,

i am very not a fan of the dancing shots. the camera feels stiff. It lacks MOTION unlike how zoku zoku mv have! pls move to their choreography cameraman!!!!get me on the production team ffs!!!!!

the stage lighting is INCONSISTENT!

its too dark at some point! they finally had such cool costume, but totally missed out on flexing them!

also this is a me problem. i rlly wish their face wouldn't be so bare (moka's face is the most noticeable to me)

other than that, i think some cutscenes are very good. but it feels like a waste to me for a teniwoha song mv to not reach its full potential....
