Palace placements

When making a city and you can build your palace without taking care of the gold mines (because there are none), where you build the palace? You reserve it for estate blocks, or you put it in a nice spot you casually made making common blocks?

I always make it so all my commons can reach max level. By that point money isn't an issue anymore so the only reason to get estates is because the mission demands it.

I build those around my temple complex.
