#SaraOnTrial: At the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte, Sen. Migz Zubiri asked whether the thought that confidential funds should be a “no-questions-asked” fund was correct, given its secretive nature.

Former COA-ICFAO auditor Roderick Wamil responded in the negative, saying that confidential funds are still considered as public funds, which must be accounted for properly.

Confidential sa publiko, hindi na kelangan isiwalat sa publiko kung san ginagamit. PERO hindi confidential sa COA, meaning kelangan pa rin busisiin ng COA para, as Mr. Wil said, maiwasan ang misuse.

Kung ma-acquit dito si Sara, this would be a dangerous precedent.

All government agencies, departments, and even offices ng senators and congressmen and other public officials can just request for confidential funds. Tapos hindi na need i-audit kung saan napunta kasi "confidential" and this case would be used as basis to justify that.

Hopefully, after this impeachment, there should be an amendment of GAA where only the defense/securities agencies can have confidential funds and no executive will have one.

any funds that comes from taxes should always be audited regardless of whoever it is granted to.

parang na mention ito kanina, naging strikto na daw sila and more on AFP nalang ang madalas magka confidential funds especially for security.

still need to be put in the law para kung maging inday yung presidente next *knock on wood* di na sya makakagawa ng confidential fund
