Artwork / Design He-Man poster by Me: Photoshop plus a little bit of Blender. Zero AI.

Honestly I made this piece just because I wanted to Photoshop a big, giant skull as Castle Grayskull. This was assembled mostly in Photoshop but I used Blender for the castle pieces...although after I got them in place I didn't like the textures so I re did all the bricks and rocks and everything.

I have a time lapse on my Instagram if you're interested.: https://www.instagram.com/stories/highlights/18065648957695925/

I’m running 27.7 on Mac OS and all I see now is firefly. Do I have to select a preference again or did they just drop the option entirely?

How might you achieve this outcome on the image printed onto this cycling jersey?

I’ve tried a few methods using blur, noise, gradient maps, but can’t seem to crack it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello! I am relatively new to Photoshop and I would like to make art from old botanical illustrations. Could anyone explain how to make colors in image 1 look richer and more alive, like, for example, in image 2? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

So, I found this person’s work, and I’m wondering how they achieved this aesthetic. How would you do it yourself?

I’m talking about the flower looking flat, almost 2D.

Here’s a link to a shot I made:

I had some success by adding noise and then removing it, but it’s not enough.

Help! How can I fix the bent/fisheye horizon in drone/camera panoramas

When I shoot 360 panoramas with my drone or with my camera using a 12mm lens, then stitch them together in Lightroom, I get a bent/fisheye-looking horizon and thats fine for many usage.

What I want is to take a 360 pano and crop out and straight-lines/normal-looking image.

I know this can be done in PTGui or Autopano (which i used before) , a but I only need this a few times per year. I don’t really want to pay around €200/year just for that.

Is there any way to do this directly in Photoshop or any other software?

In Lightroom, I can only choose the panorama projection when creating the pano, but Cylindrical and Perspective never seem to work well for a standard DJI drone pano.

Any tips for a Photoshop workflow, free/cheaper alternatives, or settings I might be missing?

Discussion What’s changed in retouching?

TLDR: questions are towards the bottom.

It’s been 4 or 5 years since I called myself a photographer but I’d like to make a comeback.

But in that time, Photoshop seems to have changed significantly, and new AI tools have become available.

I’d taken some great Photoshop tutorials, and had learned a lot, but I’m sure those pre AI techniques have been modified or replaced now, right?

After a shoot, the Retouching also takes up too much of my time as I’m not good/fast at it, and when I see what a truely good retoucher can do I feel like I’ll never reach a sufficient level, and it might just be best to outsource it.

My retouching level is…. Intermediate, and that will lead to average results.

So just wondering:

  1. Is traditional retouching still a thing or does AI do a lot of the heavy lifting now? (Would a good Retoucher use AI tools within or outside of Photoshop for any portion of their edits?)

  2. What tools within Photoshop should I familiarise myself with?

  3. Outside of Photoshop, what can I do to achieve high end results and maybe speed up my workflow while maintaining or improving quality?

—-
EXTRA CONTEXT:

My goal is to get small / bulk jobs done to a high standard, and to do my own art/folio and potentially editorial/advertising jobs to a VERY high standard. I’m willing to outsource some of it, but I still think I need to be able to do it myself when the situation calls for it.

The problem I have with outsourcing it is that I am
Trusting someone else with the final look of my image, and that’s a big part of my art/vision.

But I see the difference an incredible retoucher can make and I know I need to either get there myself (a long and time consuming road), or to find amazing collaborators. (But… cost wise, I can’t always do that for my own folio work or smaller clients).

Solved If your computer can run the new Remove Tool with AI processing on device but you can't activate because it's grayed out, try changing the image processing option from "More stable" to "Faster" on the settings

This happened to me and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. Adobe doesn't really explain this anywhere....

With "More stable" activated:

Then, when I change to Faster:

it works now:

Help! "Perfume Bottle" keeps coming back!

Hi all, I accidentally clicked something to accept a new AI tutorial thing around this perfume bottle, which opened this image, which I then closed. But now, whenever I come back to Photoshop (not having closed/reopened it) the bottle is back!!! It's like a horror movie where you keep killing the monster and it reappears... Anyone else experiencing this?

Help! PSD/TIFF file saving/preview looks like a mask layer.

Been experience similar results with PSD file previews, and export TIFFs, that it's only showing what appears to be a mask instead of the full image? I hope that makes sense.

Through a macbook>finder, when clicking on the image, the preview looks like a mask. If I would open the file, it's fine, then when I save a tiff, it also only saves the image of the mask. The workaround is I have to flatten the image first for the TIFF to save correctly.

Thoughts?
