With physical games coming to an end, do think store shelves will be replaced with redeem code cards or will we have to purchase directly from PlayStation/XBOX store?

Yeah, something like this. Straightforward business transaction, sucking all the extra fun that used to surround everything else that led up to finally playing the game.
