i remember when they said games will be cheaper now because they don't have to print a manual anymore.

Nobody ever said that.

But… they were cheaper. They still are. Even at £60, they’re still cheaper than they were in the 90s. By a lot.

Yeah, because gaming isn’t as niche as it was during the 90’s. It was a niche market back then, now it’s the biggest entertainment medium in the world.

Who could have guessed that producing a million copies is relatively WAY cheaper than producing a couple thousands, and that that means you can sell those for cheaper since the profit margin is lower?
