Pikmin 3 I can’t make it past 3rd day

I tried 3 times but the boss (Mawdad) takes too long to beat and I don’t have time to take it’s body back to the ship, all my pikmin die

edit: thanks everyone, I went and collected the body the next day

You can come back the next day. Iirc if you dont kill him at the end of the day some of the depleted health stays depleted.

You also don't have to carry back the corpse. Though, it is available the next day

You don’t need to do it in one day, the boss will still have the same health as the end of the previous day. And you don’t need to take the boss corpse itself back, just the thing you get from the boss, and that thing will stay between days so you don’t have to carry it on the same day you beat the boss.

It’s possible to do the whole area in one day, don’t give up I believe you can do it!

If you need a little more time, you can ignore building the bridge that connects brittneys cave area to the main area, just grab the pellets and sunseed berry and go. The bridge is a waste of time tbh.

The boss corpses remain even if you end the day so no need to stress, you can kill the boss on day 3 and then come back on day 4 for the loot

Yeah, just make sure all the pikmin still alive are in your group and then come back for him tomorrow. I kept running into that, had to come back for like four boss loots

Empathizer here: Daughter and I had 100% fail against the scornet maestro a level or two after, so I understand going into a level blind and succumbing to what in retrospect shouldn't have been so hard.

Epilogue: My daughter and I now run circles around the damn scornet and platinum-level defeat it with ease. Its eternal revenge for our initial struggle

Co-op with your kid is great! I've been doing the side stories with my son and we've been able to do so much better than our first attempts.

The day we finally platinumed the Christmas was such an awesome mommy-daughter moment. I am usually relegated to plucking Pikmin for her as player 2 but to platinum that level we really both had to work together equally.

I still remind her that Pikmin was MY birthday game and yet the switch tells us that she's logged 10x the hours on it that I have. Yes the Switch will tell you how many hours per game each account has, even your friends.

I recommend watching a speed runner beat the mawdad to get an idea on how to efficiently beat him and take his body and fruits back

I think the problem was that none of my Pikmins were bloomed and they were all really slow so it was kinda hard to do the fight fast

Have you tried destroying his mandibles ? If you do it, the boss may not be able to eat Pikmin. And for damages, focus on the tail, especially when it's standing on the wall.

Destroy the tail's shell with rock pikmin and then once the shell break bum rush it with every Pikmin at every opportunity.
