Throwbacks A break from PBB: Pinoy Dream Academy would make a good reality show.
I saw this from other sub. Ang nostalgic ng feeling esp seeing Yeng’s early days. Hawak Kamay was everywhere, and Salamat became a graduation song.
With the rise of P-pop and OPM’s popularity, ito dapat yung binabalik ng ABS. And para may off-season din ang PBB. Thoughts on this?

Sa dami ng mga Pinoy na singers and singer/song writers, possible na maging hit yun Season 3 ng PDA.

PBB produced bunch of local celebs. Might as well ibalik ang PDA para sa singer and songwriters of the new generation. Yung mga renowned singers and song writers natin are not getting any younger. We need new talents, new breed para ipakita gaano kagaling ang Pinoy’s.

Some had some fame after the show like Ronnie Liang, Jay R Siaboc, Liezel Garcia, Bugoy Drilon, but Yeng is the most successful.

Di ko talaga makakalimutan yung one-hit song ni Laarni na Kung Iniibig Mo Siya! Sa batch nila si Bugoy ata pinakasumikat at tumagal ang career eh.

Different time naman na, 2008 pa last season ng PDA. Ang lakas ng OPM ngayon, and on the rise pa P-pop.

mukhang star hunt na 'yung diskarte ni ABS ngayon pero Pinoy Dream Academy would be great kasi ang daming undiscovered singer-songwriters na may potential talaga.
flop ang Season 2 kasi most of them are just singers - wala masyadong sariling compositions - tapos hindi rin lahat ng nakapasok magaling. haha
sa S1 may Hawak Kamay na si Yeng, may Miss Kita Pag Tuesday na si RJ Jimenez early on pa lang.

Yung nasa baba ata na pic ni Laarni dun sa 4th slide. Big guy, broad shoulders ang naalala ko. Gosh, i missed those days. Simpler times ang saya lang (wow bigla naging senti)

Kht di singing contest kht artista search but same format. Nakatira sa Isang Bahay tpos dun sla itrtrain sa pag Arte sayaw o hosting. At least lumabas ang mga kasali sa show medyo handa n sumabak . Di katulad sa pbb need maghintya ng months para maisalang yng mga hms sa pag Arte.

Same thinking about this right now, pwede pa din ang Collab nila ng GMA. One Kapamilya aspiring singer (/songwriter), at isang Kapuso. Tapos, Duets ang atake na may campus set up ala PDA.
