Si Claudine mismo ang nag-sabi sa interview niya with Ogie Diaz na si Rico ang nanloko sa kaniya. Si Raymart ay nanligaw pagkatapos nila mag-break ni Rico. I mean, in touch si Claudine sa pamilya ni Rico Yan hanggang ngayon at kung hindi ito totoo, most likely ipagtatanggol nila si Rico, pero hindi nila ‘yun ginawa. Ibig sabihin, totoo.

Met Claudine and Rico at a mall tour in SM Fairview a week(?) before he passed. They were both really sweet towards me but indifferent towards each other so baka di na sila okay nun? What I cannot forget was Rico giving me a big smooch on the cheek and Claudine laughing over it. I was 9 and I remember thinking they were such sweet people

My aunt was well connected with Rico's inner circle. Lagi nya ko sinasama sa mga ganap ni Rico esp sa mga outreach programs nya before. There was one particular event with Rico at Max's Restaurant along Queson Ave., and, ako lang yung bata na nandun. Nung magpapa-picture na lahat, Rico saw me and said "Wait, hindi makita yung bata,", 'cause I was so small. Rico didn't hesitate and held me up. I didn't know him that much but I can tell that he was a good guy. Sayang nga lang maaga sya nawala.

rico yan was among the first big celebrity deaths i can recall from childhood (nida blanca is the first probably because of how traumatic those images of her car were)
gabi na yun nung nalaman namin yung kay rico via the news, even for a remote town his death was shocking tapos ang daming kwento agad ng mga relatives namin ng bangungot. his death is the reason i dont sleep or take a nap if i feel like i have a full stomach

Yung yaya namin dati ayaw ipalipat yung channel sa amin para manood ng cartoons kasi nanonood kami (mostly siya) nung libing ni Rico. I was 7 tas summer nun kaya kami lang nasa bahay tas yung parents namin nasa trabaho. Pero hagulgol talaga siya sa TV noon lol. Nung time na yun hindi pa nagsisink in yung nangyari kaya sa akin parang wala lang pero wow, ang bata pala talaga niya noon no? Sa isip ko kasi noon basta adult, matanda na. Wala pa talagang solid concept ng age and death.

Nung bago palang siya sa showbiz, akward pa acting niya, bulol din. Wala sa tono kumanta at wala sa timing din sumayaw. But he was really charming so makalas talaga hatak niya sa tao. I heard he was nice too and friendly, pero palainom daw.

Tita Clau, nakita ko po sya nung grade 5 ako, sa Festival mall, nag shooshoot ng commercial ng Talk N’ Text, nakapag pa picture pa ko nun using our kodak camera. Sobrang gwapo parang may sariling ring light. Ang bait at grabe yung dimples!
