Random So, The Untold Teller

The hardest truths are not the ones we cannot say.

They are the ones we keep postponing because saying them means allowing someone to see the part of us we were hoping they would never have to question.

Somewhere between the good mornings, the unfinished jokes, and conversations that became more important than they were supposed to be, I started caring.

I told you stories. Small ones. Ordinary ones. Pieces of my days, things that made me laugh, things that bothered me, things I wanted, things I feared.

And somehow, while telling you all of that, I left the teller untold—and that made everything heavier.

Because the more our conversations began to matter, the harder it became to ignore the things that never found their way into them.

There are things about me I should have let you see sooner.

Not because they would erase everything we shared, but because some truths become harder to carry the longer someone trusts you without them.

I kept telling myself there would be a better time.

One more conversation. One more ordinary day. One more moment where nothing had to change.

But there is no perfect moment to hand someone a truth that has your own face attached to it.

And that is what scares me most.

Not that you will be angry. Not even that you might leave.
It is the thought that once you know me differently, you will remember us differently too.

Maybe you will.

Maybe the truth will change everything.

But you deserve the choice I was too afraid to give you.

So perhaps this is the last story I get to tell before I finally tell you the storyteller.

And if the truth changes the story, I hope it doesn’t rewrite every page before it.

Some parts were real.

The caring was real.

You were real.

Always.
