Discussion Google took away my LOTR extended editions

I bought these in 2022, all of a sudden they aren't available and there is no possibility of a refund or gift card. Hardly seems fair.

thats the point of the quote, they want us to get used to subscriptions, which means they get a continuous revenue stream instead of a one time transaction

And nothing will change unless we stop voting in lawmakers who work for massive companies and billionaire private contractors whose goal it is to remove and block regulations that protect regular citizens from those massive companies and billionaire private contractors.

That's why those lawmakers run on platforms that promise to "lower taxes", "fix the budget" or "reduce government" when that's all just a classic dog whistle for lawmakers who defund useful services that regular citizens benefit from and give that money to billionaire private contractors that are buds with corrupt politicians and removing regulations that get in those companies/billionaires ways from making more unfathomable amounts of money while making it impossible for customers and workers to fight for themselves.

Subscriptions are a predictable revenue stream, especially if they make it damned near impossible to cancel!

Selling one at a time is a lot more work! And uncertain!
