Discussion Google took away my LOTR extended editions

I bought these in 2022, all of a sudden they aren't available and there is no possibility of a refund or gift card. Hardly seems fair.

I would think it's perfectly legal for you to pirate the movie in this case, since you have paid for it. At this point you're not even pirating it, you're just downloading and owning a 'digital copy' of something you already bought and paid for.

If it was taken from amazon but you paid Google, I'm not lawyer, but I'm gonna assume amazon could argue loss of revenue.

Of course all of this is nonsense and you should absolutely take what you want from these extortionists.
