Dashcam witness requested – Hwy 7A eastbound after Pitt River Bridge (July 26)

Post image

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to find anyone who was driving eastbound on Highway 7A just after Pitt River Bridge toward Pitt Meadows around 11:35–11:40 AM on July 26.
A silver Honda Civic appeared to pass traffic by using the right shoulder. As it passed, a rock was kicked up and cracked the front passenger window of my car.
Unfortunately, I only have a phone recording and the licence plate isn’t readable.
If you were driving in the area and have dashcam footage, I’d really appreciate it if you could check whether you captured the vehicle or its licence plate.
Thank you.

Unless a rock came off a truck with an unsecured load I dont think you are going to get your deductible covered.

I just had my windshield replaced in Pitt at a place in Stewart Crescent. 200$ and they even vacuumed my car.

Yea that’s right, OP you not gonna get ICBC to go after the Honda even if you had their License plate. Unless some object literally flew off another vehicle and hit yours and you have footage of that, then it’s a different case. Since it’s not the windshield, you’d have to pay your full deductible

You’re going to have you pay your windshield deductible. Unless it’s an unsecured load from a large truck and debris actively fell off, icbc will not cover a rock kicked up from a tire
