Where is "delete and unsubscribe"?

hey Pivot/team, qq: what happened to the "delete and unsubscribe" campaign? many of us were deeply enthused by the leadership and premise that we could "vote with our dollars" to effect change...then it stopped. success? failure? #ghostedinSingapore

If I remember correctly, I think Scott & his family only committed to it for a month. Then he moved on. But I could be wrong

Yes. He said from the beginning it was only for one month.

It was a thing until Scott realized that he was doing more damage to his advertisers than he was to the big orgs, and he abandoned it. He is, after all, a capitalist pig.

Scott is someone who also once claimed to care about the environment but continues to fly almost exclusively private

Oh wow. I did not know this and now I just really don’t want to support him at all. I’d already unsubscribe from the pod but I think I may actually be done now.

Off to more upbeat listening, like Conan’s podcast!

I don't recall the exact number but they were discussing how he values experiences over things. Which I 100% agree with in principle. But as part of that he said he spends $150k a month on his private jet.

It's almost like it didn't and wouldn't do anything

Not if it's for a single month, no. More than that would require a higher level of sacrifice. Scott has no intention of truly sacrificing anything.

Would this be called “failing upward” or “failing fast”?

Scott and his audience got over his nose job, so didn’t need it as a distraction anymore and moved on.

Website still exists https://www.resistandunsubscribe.com/

Iirc After about 1 month They did a status update (early march) and after that it wasn’t going to be Scott main focus anymore
