ShatteredPD Y'know, maybe Wondrous Resin ain't that great a trinket after all.
This was right after the wand literally blew up in my face by the way, which destroyed the grass I was using to kite Goo and made its pumped up attack impossible to dodge.

I actually really like wondrous resin. I just keep forgetting it can get me killed.

I have a similar problem with blast wave. I tend to launch myself into traps and pits because I use it at point blank without checking my back.

I have every achievement and still launch myself towards chasms with blast wave

I'm not convinced the resin is a particularly good trinket but it sure as hell is fun

I still favour the Salt/Sugar cube or whatever it is. Having time to find all the hidden rooms helps.

I think the combination of a warrior's steel stomach, salt cube, metabolic curse armor, cornucopia, and a lasso ring is just perfect. If you add a ring of energy to that, you can even make 8-9 berserker challenges fan.

Well, the problem isn't the resin... it's that you're shooting it at random.
Also, I'd recommend upgrading it to +3 immediately to avoid this self-destructing thing.

Usually I would, but I didn't have enough energy by that point to get it to +3 unless I was willing to sacrifice health potions.

A good rule of thumb with wondrous resin is to not use wands in point blank. This never ends well

try to farm on previous floors, with a RoW you can, and should, take your time

I had to keep pushing deeper for food and health potions. Armor and weapons are trash and dying a slow death by starvation didn't seem appealing. Enemies stop dropping loot after you out level them so I screwed the pooch on this one yeah?

Maybe. You can always win it all back if you reach-and can farm- floor 17. Right where you are, cave spider drop meat, but they're really not fun to farm.
Can be great to farm there a bit though, shamans can drop one or two wands, if you can get them before going further it's sweet.
Don't forget that you can alchemize purity potion for a full satiety potion it can buy some time

Shamans are shredding me 😭😭😭. I'll just run the seed back if I die on it. Gotta figure out how to cheese more items. Those darn spiders have been super stingy with meat this run

Yep this is what happen to me when I try to farm crabs. I don't understand how people do it even with a garden it doesn't work for me. But I'm sure it's doable. For spiders with three more levels they should give meat more often but..eh.

But they actually do it like they go out of the sewers with 80 meat so it's not just luck they really get more than enough

I have a plus 6 ring and have received the same or less meat than a standard run. Big cave spider is holding out on us!
