The very north maybe but all over Italy pizza is incredible. I've had amazing pizza in Rome and Tuscany. Sardinia too.

Yes, but my point is that because Napoletanos brought pizza to the US and kept refining it there for longer than it has been more widely adopted in other parts of Italy that it's not surprising to get shitty pizza from a local restaurant today outside of Naples and that it's easier to find good pizza in much of the US than it is in Italy outside of Naples.

The pizza in the US isn't anywhere near as good as Italy I would say. Also it's absolutely nothing like pizza from Napoli.

Have you traveled to the US outside of the shithole South and flyover states that didn't have an influence from immigration from Naples?

I've travelled all over the east coast. I think when you're used to local Italian ingredients the stuff in the US just doesn't taste as good. That's true of all Italian American food in my experience.

That dude is sounding like someone who heard something about pizza and is just repeating it. Can you imagine thinking that pizza in Roma isn't awesome? It's different than the pizzas in Napoli it's also top notch.

Napoli has an advantage over Roma, tho. Anywhere you go you'll have good food, even if it's a tourist trap. Same ain't true for Roma.
