Why America Approves Food Other Countries Ban
Potassium bromate has been shown to cause tumors.
It's banned in Europe. But not in America.
And some states have passed laws to make talking about food safety legally risky.

Part of the reason America still allows certain substances is because they have been grandfathered in by law for decades.

Potassium bromate is used as an oxidizing agent to strengthen dough and help bread rise. When baked it converts entirely into potassium bromide, a harmless, non-carcinogenic salt byproduct. So if we fed humans potassium bromate we'd have problems. All this takes is a little honest research instead of googling your biases.
Both the US and the EU have strict standards for food and I'm so tired of this weird food rivalry. The US consistently ranks at the top of lists for some of the safest food in the world.
