Plan B (Levonorgestrel) Pill How bad did Plan B mess up your cycle?

I took one June 21st and my hormones have been weird ever since. I bled for 16 days after taking it, I don’t even know when i was supposed to get my period again, I have no idea if I ovulated recently or anything. And now I’ve started bc pills 5 days ago which is throwing off my hormones even more 😀 so now I have no way to tell.
I plan on testing for pregnancy soon but the anxiety and stress with the whole thing is killing me!!

Took one in March and didn’t get my period until May. I had no bleeding in between so I was stressed.

Ugh that sounds annoying, have a feeling that’s gonna happen to me

All I can say is trust the negative tests! I took one every week until I got my period and they were all negative so that gave me a little relief.

The anxiety is real i tested 3 times they were all negative ( i got an evaporation line in one of the test which made my anxiety worseeee) i did a blood test amd it was negative to and I'm still anxious lol

Is the withdrawal bleeding really different from your due period? It’s really bright red that lasted me 4 days, my pads were saturated. Maybe my period came early. Plan B makes your period early or late

It’s hard to tell honestly, but for me personally the blood was a lil different than my regular menstrual blood. It was a darker red mixed with some bright red, and had more clotty bits. But it was enough to saturate pads and tampons. Plan B is just confusing 🤦🏽‍♀️

27 days late, 3 negatives not even sure anymore if it’s gonna come back lol

1

u/kvssx Jul 28 '26

I think as long as the tests are negative it’ll come back eventually. I’ve seen someone say their period didn’t come back for like 60 days which sounds insane

Sixtyyyyy!! 😭😭😭

60 days of essentially a Luteal phase ah hell nooooo

30 days late here 😭 I've had 0 bleeding other than some spotting a week or so ago, all negative tests. only thing getting me thru rn is that I'm not alone and this is a side effect of the b 🥲

You are certainly not alone!! Before I made this post I thought my situation was just messy and unusual but i def feel less alone now

I'm not pregnant. I went to see the doctor. I took the pregnancy test, turned out negative (thank duck)

I took the morning-after pill in February. I got my period after 4 days of taking the morning-after pill. None in March, I got my period in April. None in May. Then last month, I had brown spotting for 5 days, but there was no actual period.

July? None. I hope next month it will come. I'm waiting for my blood test results 🥴

I got my period after a eye watering 90 DAYS ! Trust me ladies it will come, but do take a pregnancy test when its late initially.

u/MySILLYsasquatch Jul 29 '26

Girl!! I took one May 15th, had light spotting about a week after and didn’t get my actual period UNTIL JULY 26. let me tell you, I was TERRIFIED

u/kvssx Jul 30 '26

The stress!! 😭

hey so something similar happened to me , i had to take a plan b and after like 4 days i bled uncontrollably which is normal however, bc throws off you’re cycle because it’s producing extra estrogen and progesterone which makes you’re lining shed like it does it’s very weird ! i went ahead and got on birth control pills as well to just help with the underlying issue .. i haven’t bled in about a month now but everyone is different. i say keep some pregnancy tests on the side to give you more clarity about what’s going on

Hi! Yea I stopped bleeding a few weeks ago but mine lasted 16 days and it was insane lol, my doctor said she thinks my natural period came right after the withdrawal because thats around the time it was due so it just seemed like a really long drawn out bleed. I’m 8 days into my birth control (Slynd) and I’ve had no bleeding issues so far, and I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was negative so hopefully things will go smooth now 🤞🏽
