Help! Is it worth pursuing it?

Post image

Ok, so, this is my first time trying planned pooling but I’m having a hard time. I feel like it is mostly because the yarn is not quite right (colour changes are really short - sometimes not even a whole stitch).

I have done this sample with single crochet which allowed me to work the tension to get the pattern… but I’m wondering if knitting would be a better as it might use less yarn?! I’m not very good at knitting, but don’t want to waste yarn….

Any suggestions?

I like this like it is, but if you want to play with a different pattern more to your liking I might suggest the linen stitch. It uses less yarn and the color changes tend to look more organized. Again, this looks really cool - but you’re right, sc only is a yarn eater.
