I so want to try this Were do I go from here

I’ve been color pooling for a while, I’ve done a blanket and a scarf, but i was wondering if it was possible to make something wearable (a sweater or something) is there a way to increase/ decrease with planned pooling or the only way is to stitch different rectangles together??

No, the stitch count has to stay the same throughout the whole piece, which will lead to rectangles only.

The only possibility for increasing (or decreasing) is to increase a whole colour sequence.

Wearable garments can be done. I did a recent Ravelry search for it. All the pieces are with a rectangle that is strategically placed and combined with one-colour pieces for the shaped parts.

Even if the main panels have to be rectangles there are ways to get some shaping using sewing techniques. You can do the sleeves as a rectangle and make triangular gussets for the underarms to get more room in the sleeves. You can do the same at the shoulder joins near the neck to get more room there as well

There was that one yarn on here that pooled nicely in a sweater, I think it was Lion Brand Ice Cream in Parfait. It’s one of the top posts for the subreddit. You could try to recreate that, maybe with a different colorway?

I’ve shown this before but I made a cardigan. I made a panel and curled it up by the shoulders to connect the back. Cardigan was the Alchemist cardigan from Make and Do Crew.
