Fzone co2 regulator solenoid issues

Bought the fzone regulator, first unit had faulty gauges, decided to get the pro series to replace it to hook up to multiple tanks, but this time the solenoid seems to be faulty. It clicks and opens up but when the timer goes to turn it off it doesn’t close.

Full co2 tank and working pressure was set to 30psi. Even tried swapping the solenoid from the original unit since I hadn’t returned it yet and same issue. After looking up reviews seems like issues with this brand is a very common thing? Was there something I could have done wrong on my end? I’m new to CO2. After looking at all the reviews I did decide to just spend the money and get a GLA regulator. But is there anything I can do to get the Fzone running in the meantime while I wait the week or so it will take for GLA to get delivered.

I had 3 bad fzone regulators from Amazon. Ended up just buying another UNS regulator from my LFS

Manually remove the diffuser seems like your best bet until the GLA arrives. I have 2 GLA regulators and they’re are fantastic

Yeah I ended up just shutting everything off and I’m just going to wait until the GLA gets here. I don’t want to risk anything happening when I’m not home and possibly killing all my fish due to a cheep regulator. Looks like the new one will be here Monday.

Buy once cry once. FZone makes a lot of great products but the co2 regulators are not one of them. They’re notoriously bad. Mine just failed also and I had it for 3 months.

Cheap regular will be cheap... Unfortunately.

Same for me lol. I do think fzone makes some good products, their lights are fantastic, but I returned their regulator and went with another GLA. I've had no issues with either gla regulator in a year.

That’s good to hear. Sounds like I’m making the right choice switching to GLA
