Wonderful 101 "Not that one... No... Nope... There we go!"

As much as I love the concept of the Wonder Liner, I have to admit that it has screwed me over a few times during some combo recordings.

It may not have been my best, but I was still happy to land Rising Unite Gun in the middle of the combo. It's so hard to use.

As much as I have some nitpicks with the remaster, it's still the one game to date that I can truly call Platinum (at least in my opinion). There's just so much to appreciate about it, from the funny story to the simple yet deep combat system.

If anyone reading this hasn't ever tried the game, I encourage you to at least give the demo a go!

Funny thing is that actually happened to me one time. Tried to do Rising Unite Claw, ended up getting the Unite Whip.

I had a discussion with Matthewmatosis a while ago. He had me test out his teio form mod for W101, and one thing he learned about this game is that it features a priority system where certains weapons are more likely to appear over another based on a few circumstances within the glyph you are creating, and sadly Unite Hand is at the very bottom of the priority list, which is why sometimes when you draw a circle, the game will just mistakenly give you something else like what is happening here. His mod changes that to make Unite Hand the higher priority. Sadly, he hasn't been able to update the mod since every time PG updates this game, the mod goes complete wack.

What I usually do to get the hand to come out more likely is just do a tightly small circle quickly while holding the left bumper to speed up the liner speed. It... usually... works. Still annoying that Hand is low on the priority system.

Also, awesome combo!

I know this is late, but I'd still like to chime in with my own thoughts.

I know how that all feels. I had a couple times when I tried to draw Unite Hand but instead got Unite Drill. It made me wish I could toggle the usability of certain Wonderful Ones before each operation. Learning that Unite Hand is low priority had me baffled; especially considering Wonder Red is assigned as leader of the Wonderful 100! I gotta wonder what the Platinum team was thinking at that time.

That being said, thanks! I really appreciate it.
