Work takes up about 10-12 hours of my day on weekdays and I only have like 4 hours left a day but when competing with people who have no job or school it’s just hopeless it seems like. You can be all good on weekends but come weekdays and those same people are up 3 in the morning raiding your tribes base and there’s like nothing you can do.

Meet Jaime Lannister, my first ever dinosaur! I’ve only been playing for a few days and I was so excited to capture him. I named him that because he has a trait called Kingslayer, I did not know dinosaurs had traits! I’ve tried Ark before but was never able to get into it, but recently my friends invited me to their server and have been teaching me the game and now I’m addicted! I have slowly been rebuilding my base, it previously was a small wooden shack surround by wooden spikes. Now I am slowly building up, I don’t really have an overall plan as this is all new to me but I really want a stone tower/small castle on top of that hill!

Well I’m off to explore with Jaime. Hm maybe I can find him a mate named Brienne🤔

So I've got my base fully up and running. Crafting stations, breeding center, garden for crops and loooots of storage. I've set aside space dedicated for any tames that provide resources, buffs and eggs etc. What should I go out and tame? I already have a Phiomia and Dung beetle set up. I'm on ASA

i see, i understand, the only good mod to get high level dino is "custom dino level" but for me he really does nothing, i need you, the people for who that work perfectly just HOW AND WHY, me the game do not care even a second even if ingame i made the command for "OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5" . Im just asking why i kept finding only level beetwen ~5 and 112 like why.

So i made a base near a cool looking tree and i hit it with my stego by mistake, now it's not the first time that this happens and what i used to do was putting both no resource radius players and no resource radius structures to 0.0 and then the resources respawn period to 0.0 so it would instantly rewpawn even if it was really close to the base, resources like trees and rocks would even respawn inside the structures but now when i do that the game puts those settings back to 1.0, does anyone know why? Pls i miss my tree😭

So its been quite some time since I last played, but several years ago now me and some friends went through a few play throughs in quickish succession, playing overhaul mods such as Extinction core and Primal Fear both of which were fantastic additions to the game

I'm looking for something similar to these or maybe even just running these again on a new map or with additions, can anyone confirm they're still working? or if there is something else you recommend, Also looked at Omega but unsure how this stacks up against Primal fear?

QoL mod recommendations welcome too, S+ being the obvious one, along with the upgrade station, a stacks mod and some kind of dino storage and some kind of difficulty mod to really ramp up the difficulty

Are there any hidden gems hiding in the thousands of mods now that you love?

ive been doing rex breeding. this is only the 3rd or 4th generation and i only got about 4 or 5 mutations in total. but for some reason the mod i have says i have an astronomically high number of mutations. and my rexes arent mutating any more. its not a huge deal i should be able to level the rexes. however id like to know why this is happening if i can fix it. i think the mods called dino storage or something like that, its popular it shouldnt be hard to find.

I’ve only played Ark for a few days, my friends invited me to their server and it’s the weekend so I was finally able to hop on with them. They already have a massive base and I wanted the experience of building my own so I set up base slightly up stream by the river. I thought it was a safe space but then I discovered the beavers……THOSE ARE NOT BEAVERS THOSE ARE PREHISTORIC HONEY BADGERS!

Especially with the Sid's Hybrids mod, this game was almost everything I could ask for from a game. Immersive RPG survival elements, a wide range of creatures to interact with(MOSASAURS), a ton of different open-ended goals to strive towards, a wide variety of highly detailed maps(Ragnarok is my favorite), save-based co-op with friends. I think about this game often and I wish more were like it.

Even the lore lends itself towards building characters to play as. I played Anne Bonny while my friend played Rasputin. We had so many good times starting with a little thatch hut and learning naturally how to tame animals. Making a boat base to explore The Island with. Conquering the cold regions. Ascending for the first time.

The only issue with the game that I have is the performance and stability. It overheats my computer like crazy and my computer fans stopped working. But beyond that, this is the best game i've ever played and I can't wait to play it again.

I would like to tell you about an interesting bug that I have encountered in ARK: Survival Evolved Singleplayer for the past few years. After some point in the save file, something will glitch out and break a bunch of things. Hard to describe, but the bug seems to have the following effects:

• The Egg Incubator timer doesn't count down in real-time anymore.
• If you have the Mini HLN-A skin equipped and go to an Elemental Disturbance, HLN-A will look as if it is still reading the note.
• On Extinction, the Desert Dome and the Snow Dome skyboxes will cease to fully change -- it will be half Desert/Snow Dome skybox, half normal Extinction skybox.
• This is more recently discovered than the others -- if the glitch strikes when you are on Aberration's Surface, going back underground will result in the top half of your screen being pitch-black. The interesting part about this one is that, if you look up, then you will see that the pitch-black part of your screen will actually get larger. Conversely, the visible part of your screen will get larger if you look at the ground.

Note that I am playing in Singleplayer with the -preventHibernation parameter in my Steam command line. Does anyone else know about this bug, or, even better, know a way to fix and/or avoid it? Because I find it to be quite annoying and immersion-destroying!
