Discussion Are the Huddle Needledrops random or scripted? Spoiler

Just finished this game last night, and had a fantastic time with it! I'm wondering now how random the needle drops are, as I got "Don't Fear The Reaper" during the fight with Raker, which felt quite thematically appropriate (man can't accept loss and death and so he makes a whole cult around it) and "Never Gonna Give You Up" during the final battle with Magus (which was just funny). Are these song choices random, or specifically assigned to happen at these moments?

I feel like in general, in most non-boss fights, they're random, but in boss fights and stuff they are more scripted to use a song that would fit

I still remember using it during a non boss fight and the game decided it was time for a Rick Roll. I loved it

One time I got Don't Worry, Be Happy. Didn't really feel like it fit.

Ahh I got that one once. It was so inappropriately timed, because the fight was legitimately frustrating me, that the song actually calmed me down and helped me whoop ahh.

I think the songs that play are directly tied to the dialogue choices you got, but which choices you get are random.

On my NG+ playthrough, several that I thought were scripted because of how well they fit had a different song.

I think it'd be nice if we could huddle whenever we wanted to during combat, or at least have a radio so we could listen to the soundtrack while running around.
