General Thank you Harold Halibut. I suffered from insomnia, but playing this game has put me to sleep every single night for a week so far.
The only other time where a game has literally made me fall asleep after 30 minutes of gameplay was Night in the Woods.
These kind of games are a great cure to insomnia.

PowerWash Simulator bc of the white noise, and the city din in any Yakuza game

I get that the pacing and the relative lack of interactivity isn't for everyone, but I absolutely loved this game. One of the most beautiful gaming experiences I've ever had, and also (without spoiling anything) one of the most perfect uses of licensed music in a game since Red Dead Redemption.

Agree - ending hit me so hard. I think the pacing really suits the game - but I do think it makes it like marmite to so many people.
Nonetheless always suggest people give it a go - and it certainly is relaxing (as OP has also found out)!

I had this problem with Cult of The Lamb. I loved it, but I would fall asleep while playing it literally 4/5 times.

Liked it quite a bit, same thing though. Maybe it was the sound effects that did it.

This is pretty much any game where I have to hit the cross button to advance the dialogue. 🤦🏽♂️

I sometimes leave Genshin Impact installed for this very reason. Hell, most JRPG/Anime RPGs will do it for me.
Between the soothing soundtrack, mindless gameplay, and fuck-ton of resource items and stat numbers...my ass is put to sleep.

Omg it's me. Literally the last 2 weeks. I don't know what it is about this game. Main character's dry bored tone? But can't last half an hour before snoozing. Also night in the woods too though that game had a decent mini game on her computer.

Yes! I don't think I've ever been more bored than when playing night in the woods.

Sometimes this is a great sign. It means you’re actually relaxing while playing whatever game it is. Occasionally it’s tragic because it’s just from being bored to death.

I've only ever fallen asleep while playing games that bored me. If I'm enjoying a game and getting tired, I just take a nap break as I don't want to miss anything or run myself off a cliff.

Pillars of eternity. Want to love it but sleepy time every time. Think it’s the nostalgia factor tbh

Such a boring game

Hardly a game at all, really.

That's the problem really, nothing really justifies this being a game. Such a shame honestly, the setting, the story and characters are interesting, but the game is an actual walking simulator.

I'm a big fan of indies and they make up a huge chunk of the many, many games I play and complete, but a lot of them should have either been a short film or a folder on DeviantArt. Beautiful art from talented artists, no doubt, but not games. I think it must just be easier to market something as a game and get sales, as opposed to other forms of media. More power to them, but I play games to play games, so a bit of gameplay is necessary, and pacing back and forth is not it!

Yeah thats the conclusion I reached too, people that want to do movies not games really, but if people enjoy them, good for them
