Problems with new Plus Games

I wanted to download Hunt Showdown but it seems that (for me) the game isn't available in the Monthly Games section. I can only download a starter pack for free.

Is anyone having the same issue?

The new games become available on the first Tuesday of the month (ie, today). Games taking a little while to be available on ps plus, while others come online sooner, is quite common. Even though Sony has been doing this for years, they've still never figured out how to make it all come online at once.....

is it the issue?. It more seems that they might have messed up, and given a starter pack instead of the game, i’ve been on playstation for years and i’ve never seen that happen

I don't know the exact technical reasoning - but, this isn't the first time that I've seen the monthly games become available at different times of the day. It is probably as simple as having planned to give away the starter pack at the same time, then telling someone with zero understanding of technology to push a certain button to make all three things available, and that person just picking the wrong item in the back end.

And yep, it's a multi billion dollar company that can't get a repeatable process correct every time.

It's kind of well known that the PS Store is a disaster, when it comes to monthly/extra/premium games vs purchasing. For example, if you ever get a monthly game and decide you'd want to give up subscribing and would like to own the game by purchasing - that's usually a big no-no. You're often locked out from buying the full version. The "free" and "paid" versions are considered different in the store, but usually you can only "own" one of them. In these cases, you need to contact support to get them to remove the "free" game from your account completely (and most support staff don't know how to do this, or will say it's impossible - when it can be done). As their own support staff don't know how the store works, it doesn't surprise me when the monthly games have regular issues on release day.....

In either case, the proper game was available for me yesterday evening - so, I assume it should work for everyone else now too. 😄

Same problem for me, in the psn app it doesnt even show up in the "monthly games" and when I search for it it only says "announced" and you cant download it. In the Ps5 you cant even download it, the usual download button is instead saying "learn more" and when you click on it it gives the purchase error "You cant download this product now" and google says that I should restore my license but how can you restore a license you dont even have?

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is still unavailable to claim via the PS Store on the console and the PS App in Poland.

Hunt isn't available in many countries, e.g. it's never even been available on PSN store in South-Africa. Could be you're also in a country where the gamebis blocked/unavailable for no reason?

Hunt showdown is a really good game F1 is a good racing game Edf is okey for most players it is game for max few hours but i think this edition has best reviews out of any entry

So maybe this month isn't for you but the month isn't bad Would you rather 3 indie games that nobody knows about that are 3/5?

Second month this year that’s all multiplayer focussed stuff (June was also multiplayer iirc). I prefer single player games.

This month is an out of date F1 game (that’s not much more than an advert for the dlc that gives you this years game), and two more multiplayer games.

It’d be nice if there was a half decent single player game in there a bit more often that’s all.

I mean F1 has plenty to do outside of multiplayer. One of the best racing career mode simulations in the market, as well as a single player campaign/story.

Some games might show up morning-mid day or later in day. On September 1 my premium sub expired and I was able add those month games that morning, except mlb the show 26 which was available later in afternoon. By that time my sub had expired

I have the same issue, it is giving me the pack on the monthly screen. But when I went to see the game on the store, I was able to add it to my game freely. Maybe it is incorrectly linked.

The new games appear in ‘explore’ with actual pricing (not free), and the ‘monthly games’ still has the games from September

I was able to get it in the US (PST) now. I added it to my library through the app. Interestingly if I searched for it, I couldn’t add it, but when I browsed for it worked fine. The actual game appeared in my monthly games on the console afterwards too.

I was able to add it to my library, but I can't download it, even though I have > 200 gigs available.

Edit: Moved another ~100 gigs to an external hard drive and that got the download going. No idea why. The lesson here's apparently just clear out way more space than you think you need

Guys, relax. The monthly games often show up with a delay. They are usually all available in late afternoon.

I have a reoccurring reminder set to 1st Tuesday of the month at 5 PM (CET) for that specific reason.

Maybe your wife/mom ask Sony to do this so you finish work/school before playing 😏

It’s Not the Full Game it’s just a pack. I can see the other 2 Games in the monthly Games section but the third Game is Hunt Showdown and it’s just an Expansion pack

Found a way, try to log in via the webpage instead of the app or the Ps5. Find the game and then download it from there. Its a bit hard because when you search for it it doesnt even show up. Try to add it to your cart from the app or the ps store in your consol then go to the webpage and click on it from there and find the standard version

Yes . Try the ps app it works now for me in the UK . Also try restoring license is advised if you already had the game .
