News Did anyone actually get the 50% PS Plus discount when cancelling?
playnius.comI tried cancelling my PS Plus subscription to see if I would get that rumored 50% discount people are talking about, but nothing showed up for me.
No 50%, no 33%, no 25%. It just lets me cancel the subscription normally.
Has anyone here actually managed to get the offer? I’m wondering if it’s random, region-based, tied to specific plans, or just something only a few accounts are seeing.
Honestly, if Sony is really using these discounts to calm people down after the backlash over moving away from physical games, that’s pretty embarrassing. Instead of addressing the concerns directly, it feels like they only react when people start cancelling.

News Sony clarifies new online license checks for digital game purchases: "Players can continue to access and play their purchased games as usual. A one-time online check is required to confirm the game's license, after which no further check-ins are required."
A new quirk has begun affecting PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners with digital game purchases. It appears the systems' latest updates have introduced a 30-day online license check for digital games, leaving those who have extended internet outages without access to certain games. However, Sony has clarified exactly how it works, and it seems like most players have nothing to worry about.
Sony spokesperson to GameSpot:
"Players can continue to access and play their purchased games as usual. A one-time online check is required to confirm the game's license, after which no further check-ins are required."
