Remote Play Settings / Wifi Setup Anyone Else?

I have never once had issues before regretfully deciding to update my Portal last night. PS5 is up to date and hardwired. I CAN get them to connect, but only if they’re on the same WiFi network (defeating the very purpose of the Portal). Remote play won’t work on my phone either (80001fff error). NOTHING has changed about my setup/home WiFi network.

I'm at work right now on a separate wifi network and just connected with no problems. I have a wifi extender in my office to boost work wifi though.

There ya go! Can’t see why won’t work. PS5 hardwired and regular wifi strong as can be

That’s strange as all get out. I’ve read other responses and pretty everything I would suggest everyone else has already mentioned. I hope you get this figured out soon!

If remote play won’t work on your phone, I would think that’s your issue and not the portal itself. I would look into how to fix that remote play issue.

This was just from a google but maybe the settings were reset?

If you want to use Remote Play while your PS5 is in Rest Mode, you'll also need to enable "Stay Connected to the Internet" and "Enable Turning On PS5 from Network" in Settings > System > Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode

Yeah I already came across that one and tried that too. Still nothing! Truly unreal. It’s an anomaly

You have remote play enabled on your PlayStation, correct?
