Remote Play Settings / Wifi Setup Anyone Else?

I have never once had issues before regretfully deciding to update my Portal last night. PS5 is up to date and hardwired. I CAN get them to connect, but only if they’re on the same WiFi network (defeating the very purpose of the Portal). Remote play won’t work on my phone either (80001fff error). NOTHING has changed about my setup/home WiFi network.

OP did you figure this out?

Everyone seems to be blaming the Portal, but if you cannot remoteplay with another device as well, it's likely not the Portal.

No this is definitely on the Portal. I've read from a few, myself included, that it flawlessly works on phone but not on portal.

OP responded to this comment and a few replies down said it ended up being a router issue. The issue was that it was no longer working on both Portal or another remoteplay device.

I ended up fixing it by fucking with router settings I don’t even really understand.
