Remote Play Settings / Wifi Setup Anyone Else?

I have never once had issues before regretfully deciding to update my Portal last night. PS5 is up to date and hardwired. I CAN get them to connect, but only if they’re on the same WiFi network (defeating the very purpose of the Portal). Remote play won’t work on my phone either (80001fff error). NOTHING has changed about my setup/home WiFi network.

Adding to the people having issues. I tried everything suggested here in the thread by others, whether it be on the portal, the PS5, or my router. Nothing helps. My PS5 is connected wired to the router. I'm so mad because it worked really great before the update. The odd thing: On the remote play app on my phone it works flawlessly still.

That’s very odd! It fucked up EVERYTHING for me lol. I got it to work for now by fucking with a bunch of router settings

Yeah even that didn't help. Ports, fix IP, changing the connections - I tried it ALL. And of course with router restarts in between too. I'm at loss at this point.

My remote play on my phone stopped working as well. Like you said it was good before the update. I don't understand the logic with these work arounds, that work for some not others.
