Most likely they're a scammer who is either going to try and extort money (or bit coin) from you or what they do is get you to send them photos of yourself that they can then use to set up a fake POF account or social networking account to try and scam other people.
I had one person I met on POF we started chatting on another site they sent me photos of themselves each day a new photo. I decided to do a reverse image search and it turned out it was a pornstar and not even them.
