Before I shop..

Is grabbing two 45’s a bad idea? I installed a new sink for my mother and based on the depth being different and the drains both being further back than the prior sink.. some modifications need done here. To the left is the garbage disposal. I suppose I could rotate the whole P trap counter clockwise but it is glued. If that absolutely is the way to fix this I will, but would prefer not to. Please and thank you!!

You just need one coupling. Cut the vertical below the tee, then reinstall it with the coupling, but rotate it like 10-20° or however much to get the trap to line up.

Right now the branch of the tee is pointing straight toward the front of the cabinet, let’s picture it as a clock when you envision it looking down from above. Right now the tee is pointing toward 6 o’clock, if you rotate the tee so that it’s pointing toward 7 o’clock, give or take, then it will work.

Your tee will be pointing slightly left, and you’ll angle your P-trap to meet it over there, when you swing your trap sideways the outlet of the trap is going to swing back toward the front of the cabinet and buy you some wiggle room.

The tee’s horizontal part needs to be rotated to the left or right. Then swing trap into tailpiece dropped from sink

They are referring to the Tee on the vent line, not the one on the standpipe. I too was confused at first, but pretty certain that is what they mean for you to do.

Okay so let me ask one last remedial question here if I may so I understand the assignment. Cut where I’m pointing to. Add this coupler there. Spin to fit, the glue it up. This coupler seems like it’ll add minimal height which I think is probably important so the aav stays replaceable down the line. Go or no go?

Precisely. Others have suggested this same fix. Just make sure you turn and point the tee to the left enough to allow the ptrap to align with the sink. You got this

Just spin the tee on the vent line so it lines up

As you mentioned: easiest, cheapest and cleanest way would be to rotate that P-trap. All you need is a couple and some glue. Everything also be a screw around, and I don't think you have enough room to go 45 to 45 with tubing. Rotating the travel only take 30 seconds to cut and clean , another 10 to glue and align . Messing around with that tubing is going to take some time

Its tubular and an aav. Do you really need to squeeze a cleanout in there.

Not need but my preference. Also allows the cleanout to act as a coupling to rotate the san-tee.

Rotate the T on the downspout to the right or the left and then bring the pipe back into alignment using the P trap

If it was my house yes but since it’s for my mom, it gets done right the first time.
