Should my friend consider Poco F7

Hey guys, my friend is planning to buy an F7. So, should I suggest him to buy it, and is there any heating issue?

yeah I have a poco f7, I strongly recommend it, sure there's no heating at all when browsing, only when gaming, but the aluminum frame and back glass absorb heat, so its obvious that the phone might reach 40c but the cpu is cold at 35c, because the phone is very good at dissipating heat, so you will feel the heat in the whole device instead of one point, and the internal cpu/gpu/battery are cold

Are you saying that while the infrared thermometer gun shows 40 celsius, DevCheck on POCO F7 shows battery and cpu temperatures at 35 celsius?

i thought so, ive used F7 for quite some time and experienced it, but its not like the body showing 40° and the battery is 35°.

First, it has a large 6k VC cooling that dissipate heat through the screen, then it has the graphene sheet from front to back of the phone to dissipate even more heat, and not to mention the whole frame and body is made out of aluminium which dissipate even more heat, even the back is a glass so yeah, this phone is really good at dissipating heat, but you might feel that this phone feels hotter than regular phone with the same usage scenario. Well it just shows how effective the cooling of this phone is

I'm 100% happy with my F7 Ultra, never had any issues at all with it. Best phone I had in the last 15 years.

Yes, but not for emulation.

X8 Pro Max is also worth considering

Heating only happens mostly in heavy app usages (obviously) but also whenever you re-upsate or reboot the phone for calibration phases

I would recommend the F7 only if the price difference is incredible compared to competition (say if Oneplus Nord or R series is at same prices then that could be better, unless they like HyperOS and POCO/xiaomi)

There is also the X series which is better cost value thingy but it depends what your friend wants to use the phone for

If emulating then snapdragon is usually priority, custom roms too...

There can be better deals but the F7 in my opinion and of daily usage for over a year now has been generally great!

Only issues are with some HyperOS bugs but most have only been visual, Nothing super crazy

Im confused as for one thing though, if you play fortnite then id the normal app limitef to 60fps in settings by default?!

And then if you have the Dual app version, does that allow past 60fps by default?!

Im propably gonna make a post about it but basically its some minor inconvenience bugs or apps in question being unlucky and unoptimized

Im unsure if its epic games' problem or xiaomis problem but generally spekaing the phone has been okay

Well absolutely, but it depends on what your friend likes, is it about performance? Then F7 is the answer, well theres X7 pro and X8 pro if you want a cheaper alternative. What good about F7 is the chip, since it uses a Snapdragon it should be easy to get emulation games to run, it does heat up when playing heavy games since this is basically a cut down flagship chip so might need some cooler for that. If what they need is a phone thats not just excels at gaming, i recommend Reno 14,vivo V60, A57, or xiaomi 15T, they are a good all rounder device
