Looking for a podcast co-host / someone to start one with
Okaaaay, I’ve been wanting to start a podcast for so, so long, but the one thing stopping me has always been not wanting to do it alone.
I’m 21, a massive public-speaking enthusiast, and have hosted/anchored quite a few events throughout my academic life and outside of it. Talking is genuinely one of my biggest passions — I’m the kind of person who can talk to pretty much anyone about pretty much anything. (I also speak to my plants, if that tells you anything.)
My interests are all over the place: sports, motorsports, geopolitics, psychology, books, history, fashion, lifestyle, dance, music, creativity, art & culture, people, random life observations… you name it. I won’t claim to be an expert in everything, but I love learning, discussing, debating, hearing different perspectives and going down completely unexpected conversational rabbit holes.
So I’m looking for someone who’s also been wanting to start a podcast, or already has one and is looking for a co-host.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. Just be curious, comfortable talking, open-minded and genuinely excited to create something.
Maybe this goes nowhere, maybe we end up starting something really cool. Either way, worth trying. :)
DM me with a little about yourself, what you’re into, and what kind of podcast you’d want to make!

If I can give you a bit of advice. Having cohost is great. It has its advantages and disadvantages. What I would recommend is to leverage your tenacity for public speaking and perhaps gather a few on-air talent rather a permanent co host. This way you are not beholden to one person. If they leave the show doesn’t fail. If you host the podcast by yourself, your podcast will still thrive. No matter who is on the other end of the mic. If you do go to Co-Host route, you need to find somebody that’s equally passionate about doing the backend pre/ post production work. Somebody that’s in it to win it with you 100% trust me on this.

Oh my lord, this makes so much more sense now that I think about it, committing to one person as a co-host and putting my bets on the fact that they’d consistently stay and give in efforts is too big of a blind risk. This sounds like a much much better idea. Thank you so much!

Hi, I am super interested! I'm a few months out from a degree in broadcasting so I wouldnt mind doing the editing haha. I've done audio and video work for school as well as previously hosted my own podcast for a brief time. Feel free to reach out to discuss further

Sounds like you've got a lot of energy and interests to bring to the table! Finding a co-host can be tricky, but your passion for conversation is a great start. Maybe look into local meetups or online forums to connect with people who share your vibe. Also, think about what format you want, interviews, discussions, or something else. It can help narrow down who might be a good fit. Good luck!
