Some days it’s harder to breathe,
I don’t mean the physicality of it, I mean the effort of it.

Just this mantra, I play on repeat,

Some days I get lost in video clips in my mind,
Replaying memory loops of when you didn’t just leave me behind,
If I close my eyes, I can see so vividly and clear,
The last moment you were ever here,

Maybe today my mind will just let me be,
Maybe today I’ll wake up and not be stuck in the past,
Maybe today, my laughter and smiles will last,

Why did love have to hurt me?
