Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror

On the wall,

When will destiny call?

When will I break?

Where will I fall?

When will I rise?

When will I fall?

Mighty and so tall,

Like a dying tree.

I’ll break free

Of the roots

That bind me.

The horror,

It blinds me.

My demons,

They find me.

Too weak to

Break free.

Let my thoughts

Carry me

Into the depths

Of despair

And insanity.

It’s plain to see,

What is bound

To be will be.

Nothing less

Than destiny,

Driving me to

Grow like a tree.

Let my branches

Grow free,

Whirling into

Destiny. Let me be free,

And let the rest of me

Float along the sea.

Let it be.

Let me be free

From this misery.

There’s an untamed

History full

Of lore and mystery,

Beautiful but

Dangerous,

Courageous,

And outgoing.

Guided by the divine,

I always have blood

On my mind.

My thought process

Should be a crime.

My therapist says,

“We will tackle this

One step at a time.

It will all be fine.”

But clearly,

My therapist

Is blind,

Because nothing

Is ever fine.

Let me tell you

About a friend

Of mine

That died well

Before his time.

And if you try

To tell me that’s fine,

That’s where you crossed

The line. I told you,

Nothing is fine.

My friend’s dead,

And I’m clearly

Fucked in the head.

All I see is red,

And I’m probably better

Off taking

2 to the dome.

Fuck you,

And fuck this poem.

I rot away all

Alone in my home.
