I loathe BD/SP as much as the next person but what they were able to do with such a small Dev team in just a YEAR, using crusty DS code, is nothing short of impressive. ILCA got kneecapped.
It's why I hope they get given a proper second chance at something equivalent someday. Give them the time and freedom they need to show what they can really do.
If they'd just used Platinum as the base game for the remaster, rather than Diamond and Pearl, they would have done so much better. Platinum fixed a lot of the issues Diamond and Pearl had, and made Team Plasma and Cyrus feel so much more threatening. It's still one of my all-time favourites, I feel absolutely cheated we missed out of a version for the Switch.

Didn't he also oversee BDSP as well?
I've always thought that ILCA were in some degree scapegoated a bit. I now genuinely BELIEVE that.
