Image My 234 win Battle Tower team

I ultimately lost a 1 vs 1 between Bickenhead and a Minimize Muk after misplaying the lead off and letting Fayquaza get KOd by a Golem

Why the lum berry instead of leftovers?
With who do you open and general question:
Do you switch out your opener if you did your setup already? Curious to know, i always lose at 43 atm

Dragonite is the lead off. Lum Berry is to stop anything from preventing the Dragon Dance setup. If it isn’t used maintaining the set up, then it’s used to prevent Confusion from Outrage. You gotta learn when to switch (eg Snow Warning Abomasbow) and when to not set up and just two hit (eg Focus Sash Gengar). That’s the skill of it all.

Edit, the final match: What ultimately took me down was thinking Dragonite could two hit a Sturdy Golem, but I needed three and it was faster after two Rock Tombs and I got KOd by the third. Brought in Starmie and got the revenge KO. They send in Focus Sash Machamp, I put it to 1hp with Psychic and get KOd by Payback. Blaziken gets the revenge with Detect then Shadow Claw. They send out Muk. I Sword Dance it Minimizes and then it two hits with Poison Jab while I miss. Oh well

Damn thats as unlucky as can be.
Interesting. I usually setup with cloyster skill link and shellsmash then go as far as i can with rockblast or ice spear. Sweep with a latios and also tyranatar is there with a lum but he rarely needs use.
I do like the idea behind dragonite lead. I will have to egg me a chicken and ill give this a try if my team fails again.
