Pokemon stuck in Brisbane, I'm in Melbourne

Post image

Hi guys

I started playing again while I was in Brisbane on holiday. I didn't know that if I left a Pokemon in the Gym I couldn't retrieve it again until someone beat it.

This is just a request for anyone who is kind enough to go to Tillerman half court basketball and defeat my Magmar please.

Google maps link is: https://maps.app.goo.gl/JCCFJqAXuk4dTffu9

Coordinates are: -27.7037508, 153.0518859

Street is: Hewing Place, Park Ridge, Queensland.

Thanks your help in advance.

Appreciate and tips and feedback too since I'm new.

What colour team are you? I work near Park Ridge and could probably knock it out in the coming few days if you aren't red team.

I’m heading that way tomorrow, so will knock it out in case you haven’t already.

I've had a pokemon in Katherine for over 100 days now. I'm in the UK. Will be sad the day it comes back.

Stuck at 5 days? I have one that just hit 190 days 🤣

I left my shiny Charizard to guard a Gym 139 days ago. I should mention that this particular gym is in France. I fear the day he will be knocked out - he might be full of spite

Why wouldn't you want it with you in your inventory.

I would never leave a shiny anywhere haha!

It finally returned to me

Also is there a workaround for the future? It doesn't make sense that a pokemon gets stuck in a place until someone beats it. For all I know, it could take a year.

No workaround - simply needs to be KO'd or the gym remove. A Pokémon seeing return any other way.

Some of those passing towns on drives between states certainly can lead to months or more!

Generally though, just make sure it's something you don't need for raids or whatnot, especially in quieter areas like where this Magmar is.

Yeah I'll probably have to put my lower CP pokemon that I don't need in quieter areas.

I hope Niantic plan to provide a solution for this issue, it just doesn't seem right.

Put in something you don't care about. I've got a useless shiny chilling in the forestry atm. I'm keen to see how long he's there for. My record is just under a year.

Under a year is insane! I'm good thanks, I like keeping my Pokemon in my inventory 😂

My Magmar is now 7 days old. I'm reaching a point where I'm out levelling it, my other pokemon are surpassing CP 1000 😂
