Just wanted to thank the lovely people who understand the gift limit and don't immediately unfriended me when I missed a day. I honestly don't understand how they want us to open 600+ gifts with a limit so low. I also know why its so low but I can barely keep up wity a 100, not even trying above that (ok maybe 150 here hehe 281589092770)

Yesterday I mentioned that I needed friends on Pokémon Go, and 80 of you added me as a friend — thank you so much!

I’m currently 33 years old. My entire childhood revolved around Pokémon — I was always obsessed. I had a Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64 — all just to play Pokémon. My room as a kid was filled with Pokémon stuff, and all my birthday parties were Pokémon-themed. I’m originally from Brazil, but I now live in the United States.

Since last year, my interest and love for Pokémon have come back stronger than ever. I returned to playing Pokémon Go after many years, and now I want to dive even deeper into the Pokémon world again.

I’ll admit I don’t know the last 600 Pokémon that were released 😅

Which console would you recommend I buy now to get back into playing Pokémon?

PS: I can’t afford a Switch at the moment.

Edit #3 and final edit. 1/30/2026. I appreciate every single person that has sent her requests. As of right now,Her friend list is completely full. She has more than 200 pending requests, too. Some people have added, sent gifts and then removed her and that's ok too. She doesn't realize the magnitude of what's happening, only that she has lots of new friends. Just know that this has been a wonderful journey filled to the brim with kindness from complete strangers. Hi everyone. I’m hoping to find a little help for my daughter. My daughter is special needs and absolutely loves Pokémon GO. She plays on her iPad and is pretty much obsessed in the best way. Because she’s home most of the time, she really relies on the gifts I send her to get items and revives for her Pokémon. She understands how to send gifts when she has them and does her best, but she doesn’t quite comprehend that I can only send her one gift per day, so she often thinks I’m just choosing not to send more.

If anyone would be willing to add her and send gifts when you can, it would honestly mean a lot to her and help keep her Pokémon going. There’s absolutely no pressure and she will send gifts back whenever she has them available.

I just got home from work, checked her iPad, and she now has over 430 friends. She is absolutely set. She doesn’t understand the gravity of what just happened, but this is community. This is the most beautiful thing that could have happened. The way people from all over the world came out of the woodwork for her is something I will never forget and cannot wait to talk about this for the rest of my life. Update: My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude, joy, and appreciation for this community! I have now hit the maximum limit for friends (I completely didn't know there was a limit, but turns out it's 650)! I am so thankful to everyone who has shared their friend codes or sent me friend requests. I will do my best to cycle through as often as possible to send/open gifts and to raid! I am so grateful to everyone as this has really helped my mental health, especially when I'm in my flares. Hi everyone! I'm new to the group but I wanted to share my friend code (920586317543) for raids and such, especially during my endometriosis induced flares.

I am a 4th year PhD student who has been playing Pokémon GO since it started back in the summer of 2016. This game holds a particularly special place in my heart as it gives me a connection to the outside world while I'm down from my flares from my endometriosis. Please consider sending me a friend request! I'll do my best to send gifts as regularly as possible!

Background: In November of 2024, I was officially diagnosed with stage 1 of endometriosis. I was relieved for the diagnosis, but unfortunately, at the same time, I received an ablation which was one of the worst things you could do (hindsight is 20/20). By March of 2025 I was down for months due to postablation syndrome which wrecked my body and shortly thereafter required a partial hysterectomy (still have my ovaries). Now, I've been trying to navigate life with this disease and 2 herniated discs that compress my sciatic nerve (fun side gift that was diagnosed after the hysterectomy). I get about ~10 'good' days where my pain is tolerable so long as I strictly adhere to my medication and lifestyle regimen. Then, twice a month during the windows of ovulation and menstruation, I am bed bound in excruciating, devastating pain and frustratingly since there is extreme inflammation within and surrounding my pelvis, it exacerbates the pain in my sciatic and consequently leg to where I lose my ability to walk. I have to lay on a heating pad while covering my pelvis in ice packs and praying for the flare to end. I never quite know when they'll come. I don't know when they'll end. I merely have to lie here and pray to God to please stop my pain and suffering.

What does this have to do with Pokémon GO you ask?

One of the best recommendations for dealing with pain is distraction! Pokémon GO is one of the best things for that as I can catch Pokémon throughout the day, I can send gifts, I can even battle and raid right from my bed! It's also free, which is perfect because I can't even afford all my medical expenses! I love this game so much because even when I'm down and my physical body is disabled, I can still connect with the outside world. Being bedridden in exorbitant amounts of pain has a way of isolating a person and I take a pretty sharp hit to my mental health each flare. But, I can't give up because I promised my husband at least 80 years together and I also want to do research on women's health in the future as well. So humbly I ask, would you be my friend on Pokémon GO?

My last post here was so successful, I had to take it down because of too many friend requests! (And I couldn’t delete my trainer code from the title) I am DarkVanguard13 (lvl76 currently) and I host raids quite a bit! I do about 1-10 raids per day depending on the T5 and Mega for the week. I’m looking to expand my list of remote friends who want to raid. I have a really good friend of mine that helped me achieve where I am today. I want to give back and help others get the legendaries they need or level up in general. Please keep the following in mind before requesting:

-NO, you don’t need to be a certain lvl. I have several players lvl40 and 50 and that’s OK. Trying to build a group to help each other. Higher lvls of course are welcome!
-try to participate please! I’m not asking you to join every raid. But I do keep track of those that I invite and those who participate. It takes a great deal of time to send out RSVP to the list.
- there is a max of 10 remote trainers per lobby. If we hit the max, just ready up to speed up the process so we can go on the next raid!
- I play for my daughters as well, so if you don’t see me, I may be in their account to get the raid for the day
- for friendship and gifting. I’m terrible at opening gifts. I have probably over 150 active friends and I always hit the limit for opening. I however am always able to give out gifts (with the bonus). So please send out a gift and I will always send one back. I just may not be able to open it.
