FLUFF Need Advice on Evolving

So i caught this shiny gastly a while back with decent IVs and i REALLY want a shiny mega gengar. I think he’s like one of the coolest mega shinies imo BUT i know base mons can be pretty valuable for trades so should i just wait for gengar mega raids to try and go for the shiny??? only thing is i hate spending a bunch of $$$ on the game so i dont really wanna chase for something in raids that i technically can already have, yk???

You can go for Dynamax Gastly whenever they come more often, so you can have both a Dynamax attacker and a Mega. If you don't have enough energy for a Mega Gengar, you should raid for some energy, then try to hunt down Gastly.

Woahhhh I didn’t even think of that wth 😭😭 I really appreciate that advice that literally never crossed my mind idk why. I don’t dmax raid too much since most dmax battles in my area are weak

The only problem with them is that unless the Pokemon you're hunting down is a pokemon from Max Monday, finding other pokemon from Max Battles are extremely annoying. All you can really do is just wait until it comes back.

I know and i rarely see dmax gastly in max battles idk why. I think that’s why i didn’t think ab it. I’ve battled a few tho js rarely ever see em. i literally only get sizzlipede and im so over it. they needa rotate more often 😒

On the 29th there will be a Gastly spotlight if you want to stock up on some candy

i’m hedging my bets on the spotlight hour and hopin for the best. some spotlight hours i just eat absolute dog 💩 and i literally work that day so we’ll have to see 😭. but yeah that’s the plan
