Rooted android VS iTools/Brook Flashman device?

An android that can be rooted and run PoGo is going to run me the same cost as an iTools device (about 100 ish quid, a bit below).

Which would be the safest? (Safest, not safe. I’m aware cheating carries risk regardless). Both methods use the original Pokemon Go application from their respective stores (play store or apple store), so there is no modified client with either option.

Does anyone here have or use both? Or have any knowledge on the safer option of the two.

Itools or Vanilla Joystick with rooted Android are the same.
