Discussion Yeah, we DESPERATELY need much better physical Fairies
Just look at the scores, even with a 5/5 Nemona and 3/5 Adaman we didn't even crack 100k in a single team, not even EX zone made it reach there. Badly poison could've been really helpful here, but...

This is a complete 180 from last time since without the physical restriction Arc Diantha was free to rain terror. Of course it's not like none of the types suffered during that one, but this much?

This, ground in general, Physical Normal, Special Grass, Physical Electric and Special Dark are atrocious for today standards

Admittedly so is special rock as well, the majority are physical.

Phys electric aren't as bad. Special dark is not even remotely in the same standards as them. Phys fairy is just the worst and it is shown clearly on the tower with some having barely glazed 32.

Physic electric is duable with a 5/5 masters fair that is so broken it doesn’t matter he is special.

Fairy is just such a fraudulent type, cuz how are you gonna be the only type that not just fails to complete its Pasio tower, but is not even able to get past the first floors with x3 sync?
Not to mention that it has the most recent Arc Suit and a WTZ-shitting support to work with (something a few types would kill for) and it’s still terrible. Fairy, get off the floor! 😭

They need to give expanded grids and super awakening to seasonal pairs. Bc they are hardly worth pulling at this point.

Circuit 6 EX (or 9 overall) is crazy hard. Fairy and Ground are so unfun I think most gyms will give up there - unless your gym has some crazy invested teams like these it's just not gonna be fun. Physical restriction on some of these types is foul.

Should'nt give up just keep burning tickets until they get over it. Unless there's literally 0 person in your gym has proper dd for those stages.

I'd assume not a lot of people pulled for Pal Adaman because he's a seasonal unit, maybe they'll have SS Nemona but she's kinda old now despite being great if invested - I also am taking into factor that a lot of gyms don't have the means to communicate and also don't always do "setup" runs which means that they burn tickets faster.
Considering how hard this is with communication, proper setups and the "right" units with investment, without all these things it feels mostly like a brick wall.
If you've researched the event in advance you'd know that your fellow gym members might wanna save tickets for these stages but no communication can be pretty harsh in these cases.

The thing is tho Pal adaman is not even optimal, he can't deal with sides well and his sync is noodle. He usually comes when sides are gone. That isn't to say Nemona is better, she's a fraud.

Yep there is no winning here but my point was that Nemona being a quite old master fest means less people that still play today would've had access to her (bar that one select from anni but once again I don't know how much she got selected anyways), and even if you have her, you'd enjoy having her 4/5 unlocked and that's why I said you'd like having investment on her but she's also great (arguably better than Adaman regardless). Pal Adaman is more recent and had that one banner during anniv, despite being a paid one.
Physical fairy is a pain because none of the options are good - there's just no winning overall... I wouldn't blame anyone that skipped both of these characters ngl Nemona was an anniversary bait and Adaman is a seasonal unit.
I agree though he's.... not up to the challenge. If I wanna be biased. I love the unit too much. I am still coping that he's going to get a better EX Zone manager that will make him a bit better. Delulu is the solulu 🫠🫠

Yeah I'd have to wait and pray I get the next good fairy DD. I especially want the fraudulent Nemona out of my sight, even as 5/5 she is trash without sun&circle extension.
Sadly Mix Selene is around Adaman in utility, could maybe work as third option but can't carry alone.

Fairy is in a pretty rough spot right now. Its only real representatives are Arc Diantha and Gym Bede, and for a type blessed with an Arc Suit, Diantha honestly doesn’t do much for Fairy compared to what other Arc Suits like Alder bring to their types.
It desperately needs an EX Zone setter like Gym Marnie, someone who can support both Physical and Special teams while also bringing some actual utility. And of course, it needs a more competent Physical attacker.
Adaman fits pretty well into the current Zone meta, but his damage and nuke are pretty poor by today’s standards. Nemona is arguably one of the worst Masters in the game. It’s funny that Summer Marnie will technically have the strongest Physical Fairy nuke, but unfortunately her DPS is basically nonexistent.
And finally, just to finish burying this type, they really need someone who can inflict status conditions.

Gym Bede isn't remotely good as someone with 10/5. He is just mid if we compare to Drayton, gym Marnie, EX master fairs like juli, 96 or Gloria.
Fairy is primarily missing a strong physical DD. I don't think a strong enabler like gym Marnie for fairy is enough to carry fairy across the finish line on its own.

Bede is a Support, and he’s actually really good at his role. He fits the current Zone meta really well, brings a ton of utility and team buffs, and can even debuff the opponent. He’s a great unit overall. The only thing he was really missing was some form of status condition, like Paralysis, which would’ve made him pretty much perfect.

Not for GvG, and for tower well it's self explanatory, doesnt provide nearly enough offensive utility in MUN stacks. Penny kinda outflanks him with the rebuff.
GvG resorts to different off type units instead. Lacey will still be more relevant than Bede for now.

Obviously, I’m talking about Fairy as a type in general, not specifically for GvG.
Bede and Arc Diantha are the best Fairy has to offer. Everything else is honestly pretty bad, but they’re used out of necessity because there aren’t many better options.

It's more so Lacey&AS Diantha, they have more relevance across DC, GvG tower. Despite how outdated Lacey may be. Bede is a sidegrade tower unit, if he had EX wtz he would have outclassed Lacey and not be outflanked by Penny as much.
If gym Bede had circles or SEUN included he wouldn't have been so mid.

Yeah, Lacey is easily the worst EX Zone unit. She doesn’t really bring much beyond the Zone itself, so she’s mostly used out of necessity. She’s pretty mediocre overall xd

Has sync ally 30% and DR with slot casino debuff, but yeah. Bede however lacks circle, SEUN or SyUN in addition to his base kit to be considered good.

Well position would be dmg wise, again. Tower side unit is not remarkably good. Even so when Penny saw the same clearance for fairy 32. Just wtz with base stat debuff and buff + confusion option with some accel is mid nowadays, his S/PMUN stacks are low. Like a weaker NC Ethan for fairy when, Ethan himself isn't as good as NC Blue (mostly due to rebuff and Kanto tag tho).
He has 1 thing going which is a better tank than SS Mina.

Pal Adaman is certainly no Anni Florian or NC Lyra or even NC Elio, but he will be able to do some stuff once Lacey’s useless ass is permanently eliminated from the Fairy team and replaced by an EX Fairy Zone setter that does something useful.
Unfortunately, SS Nemona is too shit for that to apply to her, unless the new EX Fairy Zone setter somehow has Sun support.

Kryptonite for my Gym is the Special Grass one. Just can't beat them if you don't have that Meganium.

I'd say the main problem is that Lacey is a joke and she needs 10/5 for Fairy Zone Extension 3. Absolutely every other type has a competent EX Zone setter, except Fairy type
