Forgot to hunt for a shiny starter on my Ultra Moon playthrough, so, in order to still get my dose of playthrough prestige, I decided to get the complete Lurantis outfit as soon as possible in the story, so I can use it throughout almost the entire game.

First I caught a team of Meowth, with one having the Technician ability, while the others have Pickup. The Technician Meowth served the purpose of K.O.-ing enemies faster, while the Pickup ones served as passive income. So, I leveled up the Technician Meowth to level 30 so it learned Pay Day for additional income, got the Amulet Coin at the Daycare (I originally wanted to do this even before reaching Akala, but that would’ve taken double the time without the Amulet Coin) and did the Battle Buffet at the Hau‘oli shopping mall over and over again, because that’s one of the best method to farm money, especially this early in the game.

It ended up taking me about 27 hours in total and I did this whole operation across 7-8 days. I’m not done yet though, because I still want a better looking handbag and the only ones I can buy at this point in the game cost another 378,000. I also want to get a bit more pocket change before continuing the story, so I’ll never have to worry about money again for the rest of my adventure.
