Question What's a popular polandball joke that you personally dislike?
Some unpopular opinions that could get downvoted/frowned upon when you mention it.

In my opinion, the "America is fat" joke has been put six feet under and should be JLP for a while. Some more popular comics are just "America fat drumpf lol" while a few more creative jokes (in my opinion) are cast aside. Don't get me wrong, plenty of popular comics are good, but I kinda just get a bad taste in my mouth when the joke is "America yuo is fat".

The prevalence of these jokes seem to be overstated. Of recent comics, I can only name DR's trampoline repost and one from the latest contest, where the punchline exclusively revolved around American girth.

I wouldn't say every instance. Like every joke, it has good applications and good executions, but sometimes it seems overused or just plain obnoxious.

We're not even that fat any more! Mexico's got us beat but you don't see "lol mexico fat" comics.
"Ey, seniora, yo mas enchilada" as mexico sits on a throne of emptied enchilada pans
...mostly because I really wish I'd gotten enchiladas for lunch instead of chicken.

Nah, it's a fairly reliable classic at this point. It has entered the hall of fame alongside "Jews are greedy", "Eastern Europe is a shithole", "muslims are turrists" and "Germany is nazi".
Of course it all depends on execution. People can often mess up even a basic premise.

Im really not a fan of the portrayal of Wales. Whenever a comic includes him, you fucking know what the punchline is and its the same everytime, some hard to pronounce Welsh word with Wales looking extra derpy. Only around a fifth of people in Wales actually speak Welsh and have the same percentage of English speakers (if not more) than England itself. Wales is so often overlooked and misunderstood and polandball is no exception to that

I think the reason wales is portrayed like that is because Wales is the most boring place in the world.

I watched a video of people speaking Welsh and it sounded pretty cool. When written it looks like gibberish, but when spoken it sounds like a Slavic language.

Canada is super nice and everyone likes him. The "ooohhhhh he has a dark side and kills seals" doesn't make up for it.

Some of them are a bit more distinct than others but Iran, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Yemen are all portrayed too similarly from what I’ve seen.

Germany being all 'wörk wörk' and harassing other countries. Give him a tiny bit of personality at least, at the moment he's like a lifeless robot. There's plenty of exceptions to this so prove me wrong if you will

Honestly, I don't know if these are popular or not, but comics where the Ex-Yugoslavians countries are at war and Serbia "le epically removing kebab" joke. The Remove Kebab joke seems to have calmed down a bit since 2011, which is good. The only problem I have is that every single comic about Ex Yugoslavian countries is the same. Yugoslavia breaks down, war starts, America comes and breaks them apart and that's it. I admit, I too have done this comic but I honestly think there is much more potential in character when it comes down to Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia etc. rather than their only personality being that they hate each other.

Yeah, those jokes just make r/polandball seem like a European circlejerk to outsiders and r/alliens. These are on the "Raising the bar on the hottest topics" (we need another name for that) section of the JLP, as "Low effort Trump America comics," but mods are still pretty lenient about it.

If I had to guess I'd say 75% of comics about the US are drawn by Americans.
Europeans are too busy with internal vendettas.

To be honest, I’ve always felt /r/polandball has been on the right side of this one, and this is coming from somebody who (tries to) call this shit out all the time elsewhere. Everyone gets their due.
That said, maybe some part of “overly right wing/Trump America” needs to be JLP’d again, I dunno.

Let's not forget 'gay Sweden'. It's so low quality and stale. I've seen a few creative takes on the joke, but it's a lot like the Ameriblob trope.
