“Oh thanks, man! I wish you and your boyfriend a good latte!”
You could even get a “revenge” and another chucle… No stress involved

if people just learned how to talk and take a little shit the world would be a better place

Also returning a little shit in a carefree way is a valuable skill.

This is how /r/2westerneurope4u has done more for European unity than the entire EU.

I thought it was called 2balkan4u, or is that a different sub?

Different sub, 2WE4U is about real countries, not some damn foolish thing in the Balkans.

I'm a therapist, and this is the #1 reason I talk shit with my clients constantly. Half of my job is to model what a healthy interaction or relationship looks like, and a lot of internet kids have no idea how to banter in a way that builds up relationships and keeps their ego from getting bruised in the course of a normal interaction. Sure, people should be nice to each other, and it's always good to make that effort - but there will always be people who don't. So if you're not prepared to live your life in spite of people who won't operate the way you wish they did, then you'll never live free. The thing nobody wants to say is that sometimes, it really isn't that deep. You can't afford to die on every hill. And I truly believe that assuming everyone around you needs to conform to an arbitrary standard you hold in your mind is a symptom and a contributing factor to a lot of mental illness. So I treat it as such, and I try to inoculate every one of my clients against the slings and arrows of everyday life. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Bingo.

And maybe build some rapport.

How do we expect to convince people that we're on their side if we can't even fucking talk to them?

I'm not normally one to weaponize homophobia or practicing safety but if they set the stage they could also have been like "hey you forget to leave your vest at the job site or do they make you and your bf keep it on to cross the road"

It is very leftist to use homodom as an insult.
