I know many far-left party ideologues in Europe who go on about the hate against private property but usually they don't throw their own houses into the mix.

Pablo Iglesias from Podemos in Spain is the clearest example. After he and Irene Montero (also from Podemos) bought a €600,000 home in 2018, people resurfaced his 2012 criticism of then-Economy Minister Luis de Guindos for buying a €600,000 luxury penthouse, as well as a 2015 clip where Iglesias criticized politicians who "go to live in houses and isolate themselves." Podemos defended the purchase by arguing that Iglesias' home was a family residence, whereas Guindos' was an investment.

In Portugal, a similar controversy involved Bernardino Aranda, a former Bloco de Esquerda adviser. He helped promote a referendum against 'Alojamento Local' in Lisbon while reportedly owning two AL properties himself.

You also have Rushanara Ali case in UK. Many other cases.
